Alive on the Island Fest's East Coast Gospel Celebration Moves Indoors
The East Coast Gospel Celebration at the Alive on the Island Festival of Christian Unity will now be held a the Canada Games Complex at Cape Breton University on Sunday afternoon.

Because of the inclement weather with heavy rain and high winds expected from the effects of tropical storm Danny, festival organizers have decided to move the event's finale indoors.

"Moving the concert will allow the festival goers to enjoy one of the most highly anticipated shows of the festival," said Terry Smith, festival spokesperson. "With such a wonderful final concert we want the audience to enjoy it in a dry environment."

The concert at 1 p.m. will feature Rita MacNeil, JP Cormier, Hallelujah Praise Choir, Dutch Robinson, The Burke Family and the Men of the Deeps.

REMINDER - Bring Your Chairs to the Cruise Pavilion
If you're attending the Friday and Saturday evening concerts or the Sunday afternoon East Coast Gospel Celebration at the Cruise Pavilion, and you would like a seat, please bring a lawn chair to the site. A reserved seating area will be provided for Gold Pass Holders for the East Coast Gospel Celebration.

Late Night Coffeehouse Details Announced

Passes for the festival are selling fast and the Gold Section Passes for Centre 200 - including performances by Bill Gaither & the Gaither Vocal Band, the Oak Ridge Boys, and more - are sold out. Regular Passes are still available with excellent seats in other sections, but we encourage you to act fast.
